Hottest 100 with The Hop Shop

Frankston’s favourite bar and bottle-o, The Hop Shop, is defined by its passionate community and focus on indie brews. I began managing its social media in July 2025, implementing strategy and content planning to the venue’s online presence. In January 2026, I coordinated the shops’ inaugural listening party for Triple J’s Hottest 100, fundraising for Mobilise.

The Hop Shop on Instagram
  • The Hop Shop is hosting a Hottest 100 listening event, celebrating Aussie music in a way that feels authentic to both Triple J culture and the shop’s existing vibe.

    • Aiming to raise over $500 for Mobilise, inspired by Triple J’s own charity mission

    • Event promotion should have strong calls to action, emphasising content shares

    • The venue should have an overall increase in January Long Weekend traffic and trade

  • I coordinated 3 main features for the event - online promotion, IRL activities and fundraising initiatives.

    • Led a 2-week digital campaign for the event, using a combination of stories, static posts and reels

    • Created incentivised Bingo cards for customer participation during the countdown

    • Worked with bar managers to develop a fundraising, limited-edition cocktail

    • 26k campaign views

    • 24% of all interactions were shares

    • $1.3k raised for Mobilise

    • 100+ Countdown Bingo participants

    • Fully booked venue on a traditionally low-traffic weekend

Promo Reel

I shot and edited this 14-second Instagram reel using an iPhone and CapCut, posted with @imaginefrankston.

Promo Stories

Instagram stories I created to promote and document the event, using a mix of professional finishing, graphic design, UGC-style posting.

Debrief Reel

“After a ripper Hottest 100 Day, we’ve donated $1.25k to @wearemobilise - all because you guys love tequila and a good cause.

All Watermelon Margarita profit from the weekend is making change in Australia. This donation covers 2 months of housing for people doing it really tough.
